In this video, we guide you through the process of navigating and analyzing Radiologic Reports for CBCT (Cone-Beam Computed Tomography) scans using Diagnocat's AI-driven platform.
Accessing and Adjusting CBCT Reports:
- Opening a Report: Click on the CBCT reformat to access the automatically generated panoramic view, created using Diagnocat's patented AI technology.
- Image Adjustments: Utilize the toolbar on the left to modify brightness, contrast, and sharpness. Hover over each tool to see its description. You can split the panorama or expand it to full screen for enhanced diagnostic context.
- Tooth Number Correction: If a tooth number needs correction, click the "Change tooth number" button, select the appropriate tooth, input the new number, and click "Confirm" to update the dental formula instantly.
Utilizing Critical Area Tag Filters (CATs):
At the top of the panoramic reformat, you'll find four critical area tag filters, referred to as CATs:
- Periodontal: Highlights periodontal conditions.
- Restorative: Identifies restorative issues.
- Endo: Focuses on endodontic concerns.
- Anatomy: Identifies anatomical structures and previous treatments.
Understanding the Dental Formula:
Below the panoramic reformat, the dental formula categorizes teeth by color:
- White: Healthy teeth.
- Purple: Previously treated teeth.
- Red: Unhealthy teeth.
- Crosses: Missing teeth.
Red bars indicate periodontal screening results.
Reviewing Tooth Cards:
Click on a tooth icon to access its tooth card, which includes:
- Periodontal Disease Details: Information on the degree and type of periodontal disease detected.
- Anatomy Description: Details about the tooth's anatomy, including the number of roots and canals.
- Detections: Conditions highlighted in red indicate pathologies, while purple denotes previous treatments. Diagnocat displays conditions where AI confidence is 50% or higher.
Modifying Diagnoses:
To adjust diagnostic information, click the "Plus" icon and filter diagnoses by:
- Probability.
- Category.
- Alphabetical Order.
You can also search for specific conditions and manually add diagnoses to create a comprehensive report. Diagnocat recognizes over 60 radiologic features in CBCT scans, providing a robust diagnostic tool.
Additional Features:
- Suspicious Teeth Tool: Highlights conditions where AI confidence is between 30% and 50%, such as early caries or periapical lesions. Activating Caution Mode will highlight these teeth in yellow.
- Conditions Details: Expands or hides the full list of diagnosed conditions.
- Comments: Add comments to each tooth card; these will appear in the final report.
Editing Slices:
Diagnocat automatically adds six slices per tooth, which are editable:
- Accessing Slice Editor: Click "Slices" to open the editor.
- Editing Tools: Use the ruler to measure distances, the arrow to mark diagnostic zones, the angle tool for measuring angles, and the eraser to remove markings.
- Adding/Removing Slices: To remove a slice, click the trash can icon. To add slices, use the panel in the bottom right, which displays slices in three planes: Axial, Vestibulo-Oral, and Mesio-Distal.
- Multiplanar Reconstruction Tool: Located in the top right panel, this tool allows you to rotate teeth axially and generate additional slices. Click "Add to Report" to include a slice in the tooth card. Once reviewed, click "Approve" to confirm the tooth's status.
Finalizing the Report:
- Selecting Teeth for the Report: Click "Settings" and manually select teeth or choose groups, such as Unhealthy or Previously treated teeth.
- Clinical Conclusion: At the bottom of the report, add your clinical conclusion and treatment recommendations. While there's an option to print the report without a signature, it's best practice for the attending dentist to confirm all teeth statuses and sign the report, as they are responsible for the final diagnosis.
Customizing and Sharing the Report:
The completed Radiologic Report will feature your clinic's logo and details. All report parameters on the left panel can be customized:
- Image Adjustments: Invert images, adjust confidence levels, and modify displayed details.
- Exporting the Report: Once finalized, download the report as a PDF or print it as a patient-friendly consult takeaway. Providing patients with clear, graphic summaries of their dental conditions enhances transparency and increases treatment acceptance.
Diagnocat streamlines CBCT analysis, making it more precise and intuitive than ever before.
