Diagnocat’s Superimposition Report combines CBCT and intraoral scans into a smart, integrated 3D model. This powerful fusion enhances anatomical accuracy and supports high-precision planning. Here's how to use it:
1. Creating a Superimposition Report
- Go to Create AI Report and click 3D Model.
- In the pop-up window, select the CBCT scan and upload intraoral scans for both the upper and lower jaws. You may upload by drag-and-drop or browse your files.
- Once both files are added, click Order
Pro Tip: Ensure all scans are clinically consistent for optimal alignment results.
2. Explore the Superimposed 3D Model
- The interface displays: tooth structures, soft tissue as well as bone and root anatomy
- Use the left-hand list to:
- Toggle visibility
-
- Adjust transparency
-
- Change display colors
This allows for custom visualizations that emphasize specific anatomical areas.
3. Key Benefits of CBCT + Intraoral Fusion
- Accurate occlusal alignment
- Enhanced soft tissue visualization
- Realistic 3D modeling for better patient education and surgical planning
You can use this virtual workspace to assess implant zones, tooth morphology and surgical regions.
4. Using Multiplanar Reconstruction (MPR)
- This feature allows you to view 2D slices linked to the 3D model
- Slices automatically align with your current selection
- Segmented structures are outlined with color codes
- To navigate slices simply hold Control and scroll your mouse wheel or trackpad.
Our MPR tool enables deep review of bone density, structural relationships and tissue thickness.
5. Customizing with the Settings Panel
- Located in the top-left corner, the settings panel allows you to:
- Hide/show structures
-
- Switch between layouts
-
- Adjust brightness and contrast for slice views
6. Smart Measurement Tool
- Measure distances within the model in real-time
- Ideal for implant planning, Identifying bone gaps and accurately evaluating spatial dimensions.
7. Pathology Filters (or CATs) for Fast Analysis
- Access filters at the top:
- Perio – Bone loss
-
- Restorative – Restorations
-
- Endo – Endodontic issues
Once enabled, affected regions are overlaid on the 3D model.
- Hover over any marked area for detailed insights
- Perio filter shows bone loss in 1mm increments across 6 points per tooth (3 buccal + 3 lingual)
These tools are excellent for both evaluation and patient explanation.
8. Export the Model
- Click Export on the bottom-left corner
- Downloads a ZIP with all STL files
- Compatible with most 3D printing software and treatment planning systems.
Exporting allows full integration into workflows for Orthodontics, Implantology and lab collaboration.
Diagnocat’s Superimposition Report offers a clinical-grade digital twin, ready to support your surgical plans every step of the way.
